Big shout out to Shawn Pendleton from the dry side who sent these great photos and video. Thanks, Shawn! (Awesome underwater footage)
This was the latest report from Bruce Bolding, WDFW Warmwater Manager, at a M.I. Chapter
Meeting in July, 2012:
The WDFW sent a survey crew out on the lake in the
Spring. There is one out there now and will be another in the Fall. After that, there will be a SEPA (State Environmental Policy Action) implemented.
There will be a Public Review session where homeowners and affected businesses might want to respond. Bruce says the baby tigers are scheduled to be stocked in June, 2014.
Report from Don Wittenberger -Sept. 2013:
“It sounds like we're not going to get Lake Samish because of tribal opposition, but Bruce still wants to add more tiger muskie lakes and is looking at other
possibilities. Lake Isabel in Mason County is now on his radar. The prospects for getting a tiger muskie
lake north of Seattle sound discouraging for now, though.”
Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife has stocked Phillips Reservoir to control 1.5 million perch.
